The Children's Ministry Program
Here children learn about God and to live and love like Jesus taught. Through Sunday School, Children's Moments, and special activities, we are dedicated to guiding and developing each child's spiritual life. We hope our children will feel God's love from their church family and know that church is home -- a place of warmth, love, and sanctuary for each one.
All children and youth are invited to meet in the choir room each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for an opening Worship Service and Children's Choir Time led by Ms. Jane and Bethany Putnam.
For more information, call the church office at 985-892-4695 or the Children's Ministry Director Jane Treece at 985-234-9915.
Sunday School for Young Children: 10:00 a.m.
Using a Bible-based curriculum, FUMC provides a Sunday School class for young children. Using child-friendly text and crafts, the teacher, Aleta Spears, aims to teach our faith's foundational stories in a developmentally appropriate setting.
Sunday School for Older Children: 10:00 a.m.
This group of second and third graders enjoy learning what it means to live in a Christian community. The teacher, Amy Downey, encourages discussion and activities to support the lessons of the Bible.
Sunday School for Youth: 10:00 a.m.
Jane Treece will teach this class and support our youth in their journey in Christianity. Spread the word and invite someone to come join the celebration as we study the word of God.
